More often now, the question arises if it is possible to install two versions of Enterprise Architect on the same system. The answer: “Yes it is” and here is what you have to do:
- install the “older” Enterprise Architect version first
- after the installation rename/copy the installation directory
(default: (default: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Sparx Systems\EA” –> copy to e.g.: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Sparx Systems\EA_old”) - then install the “newer” version of Enterprise Architect
Attention should be paid to the following:
- The last installed version (the “newer”) is the leading on
(this means: all links will open the last installed, and also all EAP files will be opend with it,…) - To use the “old” version you will have to start it directly (EA.exe in the “EA_old” directory)
