The OMG has released a new beta version of UML 2.5, which can be found at OMG’s website.
One of the major changes in comparison to UML 2.4.1 is a reasonable simplification of the UML specification. It also includes a diagram interchange metamodel, which enables to exchange the models themselves and their graphical representation among different tools.
